Who are we?

Code Ninjas is the nation’s fastest growing kids coding franchise. In our centre, kids ages 5-14 learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way – by playing and building video games they love. Kids have a blast and can’t wait to come back. Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new skills including coding, math, logic, and problem-solving, as they progress from white to black belt. Position and Role Description:

We are looking for a Coding Instructor to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward-thinking minds, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. Our Senseis are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas centre. This individual oversees the day-to-day coaching and student engagement. You will be sparking young minds and challenging them to become problem solvers through fun-filled coding exercises. Are you experienced in working with children? Do you enjoy teaching and building problem-solving skills in young engineering minds? Have you mentored youth? This could be the role for you.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for Create Program Instructors who are STEM minded, fun and energetic individuals to join our team of dynamic, forward thinking minds, working toward our common goal: Promote STEM Education to Kids Ages 5-14 years old.

Responsibilities include:

  • Training – review, understand and learn the curriculum

  • Create and maintain a positive, safe, FUN and inclusive environment in which students can grow

  • Work with children to determine skill sets

  • Provide feedback to parents after working with student who is on a tour

  • Follow opening/closing duties daily

  • Clean dojo throughout the work schedule to ensure cleanliness is kept up to corporate standards

  • Report daily to Centre Director with respect to day’s activities and productivity in dojo

  • Report weekly to Centre Director or the Owners on progress

Requirements:

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and creative individual with prior experience working with children ages 7 and up (mentoring, coaching, tutoring etc.)

  • Ability to communicate and work with a variety of ages and skill levels

  • Knowledgeable about coding and technology (JavaScript, C#, Lua, Unity)

  • Loves to play video games (Roblox, Minecraft)

  • Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and be professionally independent with minimum supervision

  • Must be fun to work with and like working in fast-paced environments where requirements can change frequently

Schedule Commitments:

  • Tuesday to Friday - 3pm - 8pm

  • Saturday between - 10am - 4pm

Center Director

Part Time Up to 25 hours/week

We strive to provide our customers the best and are looking for someone who is focused on delivering world class service to our valued customers. You will be the first face our customers see as they walk through our doors; this requires you to have excellent people skills, clear and direct communication skills and be adaptable and fast thinking to resolve problems of all natures.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a Centre Director who is fun and energetic to join our team of dynamic, forward thinking minds, working toward our common goal: Promote STEM Education to Kids Ages 5-14 years old.

Responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming customers by greeting them, in person or on the telephone

  • Following up with leads and nurturing any referring inquiries

  • Ability to think on the fly and be perceptive to centre dynamics

  • Work with parents to define children’s learning needs

  • Provide centre tours while maintaining awareness of students currently in the centre

  • Engage with children and families in the centre

  • Ensure that parents understand how their child is learning and progressing

  • Engage and oversee coaches/tutors to ensure team needs are met

  • Ensure the centre is a FUN and safe learning environment for our students

  • Update and manage social media channels (Facebook / Instagram)

  • Assist with various other administrative duties

  • Uphold corporate standards with respect to centre cleanliness & operational standards

  • Report weekly to the Owners on progress

Requirements:

  • Able to communicate clearly, both written and orally

  • Knowledge of business operations, sales, and team leadership

  • Familiarity with technology, Microsoft suite, social media, office equipment

  • Flexible schedule

  • Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and professionally independent with minimum supervision

  • Second languages will be a valuable asset but not a requirement

Schedule Commitments:

  • Tuesday to Friday - 3:30 pm - 8:30 pm

  • Saturday - 9:30 am - 4:30pm
